Auckland Mobility Devices Ltd has developed two of four patent pending mobility device enhancements.
AMD has recently been accepted into TREAT (Center for the Translation of Rehabilitation Engineering Advances and Technology). TREAT is part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) R24 network of rehabilitation research resource centers.
AMD also works closely with the New Zealand Ministry of Science and Innovation.

Our first product the CrutchShock, reduces ground reaction force by up to 20% in a comparison to crutches without the CrutchShock installed. The CrutchShock also nearly eliminates resonant frequency (vibration) which is known to cause pain in humans.°
Our product development cycle starts with the design concept of the product, machining drawings, IP protection and then contracts leading medical grade thermoplastic injection toolmakers and molders in Auckland.
